Activities & Events

Since May 2016, we have been on the ground introducing ourselves to the community, meeting with residents, and discussing the project and receiving people's feedback. We've received a lot of good feedback and questions, and we now have an FAQ section on our website addressing some of the most common concerns about the project. If you are a local resident or stakeholder and haven't heard from us yet, please feel free to reach out to us directly by calling or emailing us. We would like to speak with you.

first REA open houses

The first REA open houses took place at the beginning of December. The Open House provided information on the project, the proponent, the approvals process, wind energy, and also addressed commonly asked questions and enabled feedback from the general public. Subject matter experts were on hand at a variety of "Information Stations" to address the widest variety of questions and comments from attendees. The public notice and information panels presented at the events can be viewed on the Project Documents page.

Free Tour of a Wind farm

Two guided tours of a wind farm were held in October 2016 and again in August 2017. On both occasions, the participants had the opportunity to meet with employees of the project operator and independent members of the community to discuss the development, construction and operations of the wind facility, among many other topics. We had many interesting discussions and learned a lot. Thanks to all who joined, we hope you found the excursions as interesting and constructive as we did!

ongoing COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

We continue to meet with people as needed for everyone to learn more about the project and have their questions answered. We have now held six formal open houses in St-Bernardin and Vankleek Hill between December 2016 and August 2017 to present the project details to the community. We want to address people's concerns and answer questions and these events provide a venue to ensure that you get one-on-one time with a RES professional. Have not been contacted and have questions? Reach out to us here for more information.
